this album is probably the most successful cross-pollination of ny drill and jersey club to date. cash cobain is the producer, and perhaps the person most responsible for the "sample drill" trend, who also provides vocals, tho chow lee is the more natural vocalist of the two. it's also probably the horniest rap album since the heyday of turquoise jeep. i can't stop listening. if lyrics like "she eat my dick up like empanada" are a dealbreaker, i get it, but this stuff def deserves its own thread.

maybe the horniness in the lyrics is an attempt to make rightsholders so uncomfortable that they don't realize they're being sampled

i didn't go to their concert at baby's all right last wednesday, but i did see that they're selling shirts that say "what else?" on them lol

I like how fun this music is

yeah this is very cool. lyrics are def a little one note—I got through track 16 of the deluxe and was like "I need to listen to something holy now"—but the production is so inventive I didn't really care, also I've listened to enough Skillibeng to have partial immunity at this point

a very fun album that I’m enjoying. it’s raw and playful, which is a good combination

tracks I saved: “Wavy Lady (Remix)”, “Orgasm”, “Hornitos” and “Slizzy Like”, kind of random, because the quality level remained pretty constant (and I listened to the full 25 tracks)

also, Chow Lee sounds quite a bit like Swae Lee at times, whether that’s a coincidence or not

many cash and chow compilations on the new mhpg sound album, which is just as horny and sample-crazed, but a bit more laid back. a mixed bag imo, as is the nature of label compilations, but there are some serious highlights.
