on a pretty amazing run over the last few years, seems there ought to be a thread. For You and I is an obvious starting point, though I've come to love this set of abandoned tracks from that era just as much: https://lorainejames.bandcamp.com/album/fyai-demos-ditched-album
album #3 Reflection out next month
meanwhile, here's a 30-minute live set from last year:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnvxRT9nUbc

Oh yes, I love her. Hmm was the one that got me into her but there's loads of other great stuff, plenty of which I've still yet to explore. Highly recommend.

new one is … good? need to listen more. FYAI is a hard one to follow and ill admit my first impression of this one was that I want less guest vocals, more Loraine. production is, as to be expected, extremely inventive, technically flawless, avoidant of simple functionality yet not overly flashy or fussy

this album's wonderful isn't it? just having a relisten and it's so full of fantastic sounds, so detailed while all still sounding very spontaneous. everything buoyant and constantly in motion, even the bass seems to be floating above the ground. love the ones with marina herlop and eden samara on them especially, seem like they're transforming everyday feelings and gestures into otherwordly, transcendant sensations, disorientating in the most beautiful way

part of me wants to say it splits the difference between this year's kelela and tirzah records, but c'mon, it's a lot better than that
