Movie or TV karaoke scenes. Great ones, preferably, but anything will do.
Top of my list--no surprise--is Bill Murray in Lost in Translation. As per the thread title, more for his Elvis Costello/Nick Lowe turn than for “More Than This.” The latter I count as third best in the film, after Scarlett Johansson’s “Brass in Pocket.”
Just as great is Portia Doubleday doing “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” in Mr. Robot. It happens just after some traumatizing event--not sure; maybe when her character Angela meets up with Whiterose--and it’s juxtaposed with a montage of fsociety trying to hack Susan Jacobs’ phone.
In The Leftovers, international assassin Kevin Garvey karaokes “Homeward Bound” as he tries to kill Patti and get back from...wherever he is; it’s that bizarre episode where he’s dead but not dead.
A friend tells me there’s a great karaoke scene Never Rarely Sometimes Always, which I still haven’t seen. There must be dozens more.

one month passes...
Long karaoke scene in Dead to Me, "Don't Leave Me This Way" then "Drive." I'm watching the first thinking "who is that, who is that?"; she's a semi-regular on the show, but watching her sing made her more familiar. It's Telma Hopkins from Dawn--Telma karaokes Thelma.
