niche thread that will have three posts tops, but God I love this band.

Wagner's vocals are unhinged af, especially on I.N.R.I. but even on The Laws of Scourge, which is a fantastic death metal album. Even Rotting is good. even the album artwork to I.N.R.I. is iconic.

I.N.R.I. obviously the classic. the chaotic blasting, the paper-thin guitars playing buzzsaw riffs while Wagner's eyes rolled back as he delivers earth-shattering roars.

feel like this is the true reunion I would want the most, second to OG Sepultura maybe.

where the fans at? any video of their performances around?

I've only checked out I.N.R.I. for, uh, historical reasons, and I quite liked it, but not quite enough to revisit it on a regular basis. Then again, most canonical 80s metal has yet to thoroughly click with me – I feel like I'm only 3/4 of the way there.

the drums sound a little dated production while, but the crazy vocals alone were enough to keep me coming back. I just love its visceral energy, but I love any metal Brazilian.

speaking of which, where are Grave Desecrator.

The Laws of Scourge is more of an early technical death metal album if that's more your jam - not the boring wank-fest kind, but the "room with many doors" style of creative riffing that still hits you in the face.

Yeah, that does sound cool. Not at all what I expected based on my limited acquaintance with their discography.

I can't even hear any bass guitar on I.N.R.I. - I mean I can hear that it's there faintly but I can barely discern what it's playing.

god those riffs and growls tho.

feel like I love them for the same reason I love Celtic Frost in that at least on I.N.R.I. they used simple ideas in ways they weren't often used at that time and made a classic that way.

yeah I love teh variety of styles they played in their short existence. Laws and I.N.R.I. are both classics
