How did ILM managing to get through the nominations process without including either of the first two Fiery Furnaces records or Ciara's The Evolution? Both would have been unthinkable omissions at the time they came out.

I just realised there's only one Jay-Z album nominated as well.

Also can I be churlish and point out that 'The Magical World of the Strands' was relaased in 1998 and definitely doesn't count here?

This'll be a suitably spiritual successor to the original 2000-2004 poll as a result of all the omissions (although there were rather more brutal nomination restrictions with that first poll). Hope there's at least over 60 ballots.

I ended up voting with my heart on the albums list and heavily tactically on the tracks ballot. Impossible to pick my genuine ten favourite songs from an entire decade so I ended up piling the top 10 with records I both loved and passionately felt should be represented.

I haven't listened to The Meadowlands in forever, but man, it aged tremendously well.

Didn't quite manage to fill the ballot as I've been attempting to finagle my way into the Après Ski scene and I didn't want to take my chances with a fat ballot I might have to explain on the fly. Nevertheless, I voted.

Voted twice today. One for parliamentary elections, one for ILX.
My nominations were late and I had to let go of some top favorites, so I really can't complain about the selection. But it's rather poor to be honest :P

Man, making a ballot is hard! I thought everything I liked would be nominated by someone else, but I forgot I'm the only Dane on here, one of few Scandinavs. I think I'm missing, like, ten albums I'd want to put on there, and that makes it all really hard.

had completely forgotten about EP when doing all my 00s listening (it seems like its weird status means it gets relatively overlooked compared to the first two fiery furnaces albums?) but im listening to it for the first time now and its by far my favourite fiery furnaces release already. all the things i liked from blueberry boat without the annoying bits
