maybe this will still be a niche thread but i wanna talk more about these dudes.
first of all, Brian Ross, the voice of butter, who was also in the legendary Blitzkrieg, is such a phenomenal fit. was surprised when I saw them live he actually has a more powerful voice with a robust vibrato, but on disc it seems they smooth it out a bit to a straighter tone, probably to make him more of a blended piece of an ensemble, which I think is a good move.
their riff ideas are just so interesting, like "Doomsday Clock" on the new album has that phenomenal harmonized riff that twists and speeds up and then unwinds itself. I also love the punchy, lively production.
ordered a physical copy of Court in the Act (a rarity these days), feel like Cruel Magic is right up there with Atom by Adom and Life Sentence, possibly even better.
this will be on my EOY list for sure I think.
who else loves these dudes?
for the uninitiated...

Brian Ross is a fun, jovial frontman live. he went on a 5 minute chat about NWOBHM trivia and talking about his musical conquests before saying, to himself and us, "god, I love this!"

I don't know this band, but Blitzkrieg are playing my local rockers pub in a few weeks. Should I go?
