How long should "Don't You Know" by the Jan Hammer Group be?

i found this one digging on my own sometime around 2007 (?) at rasputin records in mountain view

joakim doing god's work on those edits

iirc i was immediately drawn to the cover and posted to ilx asking if it was worth picking up, and andy k said to grab it so i went back and did so same day, but i'm having trouble digging up the thread

this is all to say 11 years later still not sick of this track

today i ran across a longer re-edit of joakim's edit which also makes a persuasive showing

fwiw, i love the washy ending of the even longer edit but it seems a bit underpowered. maybe Jan Hammer's Don't You Know should end earlier so the fact that it has ended is more bittersweet.
