Just saw them kill it live. I've been waiting to see this band for 33 years.
First wave "they were there first" credit in the LA punk scene, fucking unimpeachable.
Me, to singer John Denney: "I'm only 52, I was a little hardcore kid so I missed you the first time"
Him: "All we have is the here and now, brother"
New material is apparently forthcoming. I never checked out Condor but they played a few tracks from it and I clearly need it.
I told him to put out the "Ranting In A Rubber Room" 2x7" bootleg for themselves - he said "we still don't know who did that, but hey, free publicity"
POV:
Solitary Confinement
It Means Nothing
Destroy All Music

Top band. They're playing in Brighton in a few weeks, I'll fairly likely be going.
I was meant to see them almost 15 years ago at a big mostly-70s punk all-dayer in London but they pulled out. Didn't think I'd get the chance again.
Solitary Confinement is the POO, seen Negative Approach do that one a couple of times.

"Condor" is good, worth picking up cheap. A more mature sounding Weirdos but a solid cap to their career (so far).
The two "Weird World" comps are a total joy, full of piss and vinegar.

four years pass...
Here's a link to a homemade best-of (1977-1980) that I made, including six bootleg-only tracks and two (vastly) superior live takes from a rare CD
If they had released a full LPĀ of this amazing shit back in the day, they would be even more revered than they already are.
