My bed is so POLLED without you in it - Chelsea Wolfe LP/EP poll

Went with "Abyss" which is a little more diverse than "Hiss Spun" - electronics are less integrated, just as heavy but with some more sublime moments.

Thoughts on the others

Unknown Rooms: Wolfe's solo acoustic album other than the mostly acoustic EP "Hypnos" which is a delightful downer

Pain Is Beauty: Precursor to Abyss, forays into trip-hop and dream pop interspliced with heavy tracks

Prayer for The Unborn: Short EP with some gnarly riffs and angry af

Hiss Spun: perfect encapsulation of the doom metal Wolfe was exploring on "Iron Moon" (Abyss) stretched out to album form.

Special mention: i love you all the time, single for Bataclan support - dream pop that would make lynch proud

Also Hypnos contains demos of tracks from Abyss, so it's essential

As a metal guy it was between Abyss and Hiss Spun for me. Went with the newer one but it really depends on my mood.

fair answer, metal was sprinkled throughout Pain is Beauty and Prayer but the last two really sold that feel

I love them all but Hiss Spun is my favourite. While I do occasionally miss the greater timbral variety of Abyss, it's her most consistent album songwriting-wise.
