one year passes...

asking for a friend..

Catchy pop hit with high fuzzy guitars, lowish male vocals singing something like "ain't never ever gonna love again" with a descending melody. Probably 00's...

Haha, no I'm pretty sure that's not the one

Anyone know what this is:

From a tape of a radio show from April 1991, most of the other songs are from 88-91 so it's most likely from those years. I don't actually like it that much, just want to know what it is.

NNothing Painted Blue - "Go To Waste" (30s clip here: https://www.amazon.com/Go-To-Waste/dp/B001DRG8E6)

I'm putting the speed/pitch difference down to it being an old tape of probably a 7" but I suppose it might be a different version.

(hi CP, hope you're doing OK)

i found it in minneapolis so it is possible it's a local band. other than that, though, i really have no idea who or what it is.

OK so the label's page is here:

https://www.discogs.com/label/610887-AR-Record-Manufacturing-Corporation

so this record is from 1990. unfortunately can't figure anything else out

three months pass...

OK this one's been driving me nuts. Can't remember the name of the song or artist.

Released some time around the mid 2010s. Solo female artist. Was not a hit afaik. The song was in the vein of what Kiesza was doing at the time (sort of house-pop revival). The video kinda looked like this:

(though the song sounds nothing like the one in the video)

Lulu James "Be Safe" looks a bit like that video

It's not her, but thanks

It was a very dancey song

Got it! I had to go deep in the recesses of my mind, but I can finally rest. It was "Three Dreams" by Syron. The video is gone but I could still find the song:
