I could not agree more. That is one of my favourite moments in music and I think it's the best song they've done.

I love that album so much, it might be my favorite of theirs. "A&E" could be it, but I will re-listen before deciding.

This is my least favourite of what I think of as their 'quiet trilogy' (completed by Felt Mountain and Tales of Us)

'Caravan Girl' is all-time, but this is far from my favourite Goldfrapp album.

I've got a vague memory of starting a Best Goldfrapp Album poll, but search isn't turning anything up.

Tales of us stands out to me as their finest, and this comes from someone who never thought felt mountain would be bettered

"Clowns" would be in contention were it not impossible to take serious a floaty meditative pastoral song whose central lyric is "only clowns would play with those balloons"

I loved their stage presentation during this era.

The swirls and swipes around "Cologne Cerrone Houdini"'s chorus gets my vote.

In a video interview with Blender, Alison Goldfrapp explained the lyrics (for Clowns):

Its about tits, basically. Fake tits. (…) I just happened to be watching a lot of trashy TV at the time and it seemed like every programme had a lady with huge, fake tits, and it’s slightly disturbing.

On Vanity Fair, she clarified:
