Nicky Hopkin has writing credits for both the Steve Miller band and the Jeff Beck Group, but I'm honestly not sure if he was a member if those bands at the time or just a hired gun.

This website http://rocksoff.org/nicky-sessions.htm says he was considered a full-time member of the Jeff Beck Group for Beck-Ola and has a question-asking placeholder for the Steve Miller Band Your Saving Grace, although Wikipedia implies he was a member at the time.
