Can't believe the first thread on Charles Bradley is his obit. 68, cancer. Like Sharon Jones, an old soul but still, way too young. Amazing performer, what a great story he was.

This is sad to hear. He had an amazing voice and it was inspiring to see him gain recognition so late in his career.

R.I.P. I had the pleasure of seeing him live a few years ago and that concert will forever remain in my memory. What an incredible performer.

I saw him couple of years ago. At one point, near the end of the show, he went into the audience and hugged as many people as he could get to. I was near the back, and worked my way up, because I got caught up in the love. I figured a hug from him would be electric! Unfortunately, he gave up and went back up to the stage just as I got up there. I was so close! But that's what the show was, basically. A big giant soul hug.

Aw man, I saw him twice. Yeah, the tear-soaked face, the flying eagle stance, the hugs, all of it. RIP.

Hey I got hugged by him once! It was intense, he didn't just put his arms around me in some kind of casual, friendly, bro-hug kind of way, it was a legitimate embrace. He held on to me. And it wasn't just me, he did it to...40 or 50 other people?

A great performer. He was very sweaty.
