maybe I'm just unaware of the significant number of women lurking in men's bathrooms but that just seems unlikely

yeah it seems unlikely to me but idk -- was a bathroom involved?

I thought that was the whole story? He was busted in a public restroom getting head from a guy?

^^^OMG!!! What??? Really???

lilsoulbrother, Friday, 8 April 2011 18:23 (thirteen years ago) link

Yeah that type of the mentality make so called "straight" people use their privilege to engage in homosexual acts but then deny that they are somewhat attractive to the same gender. Why engage in something like that if you are not remotely attractive to that same person? Once again, "straight" men are just strange.

You can be attracted to people of the same sex and engage in same-sex acts, but I don't think that makes you gay unless it constitutes the full extent of your sexual preferences.

(Some of us don't consider ourselves straight OR gay.)

lol does nicki minaj really qualify as bisexual in any serious discussion on the matter

― fauxmarc, Friday, April 8, 2011 1:32 PM (45 minutes ago) Bookmark

not necessarily (although she gave an interview to Out Magazine fwiw), i was just pointing out that she's a bigger current star with more overt bisexual lyrics/image than Missy after Missy was brought up

oh it was a car, lol

basically all of the George Michael stories make me assume ppl are always getting busted in bathrooms

minaj has played eye-rollingly coy on the subject of her own sexuality but you certainly can't have a discussion of hip-hop and homosexuality without talking about what she's brought to the table

HAHA, Shakey, I was gonna start a post like that a few years ago

if only there was some word we could use for people who are attracted to both men and women!

Cute Whiney. But you know as well as I do that the idea of bisexual men are seen as boogie men. They shouldn't be seen as that, but our society isn't as accepting.

lilsoulbrother, Friday, 8 April 2011 18:28 (thirteen years ago) link

Bi men are loathed even more than gay men IIRC.

People who don't identify with any sexual preference is all well and good. However, they are only seen as a problem if they publicly enforce the heterosexual mindset of society in order to fit in.

Yeah and it's a fucked up idea too. It's okay for women to be bisexual because that means a straight guy can fantasize about two women getting it on. But men have to be either gay or straight - no ambiguity at all.

lilsoulbrother, Friday, 8 April 2011 18:33 (thirteen years ago) link

You forget that men, in general, have no ambiguity at all.

I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying, every man in the world is straightforward in their sexuality or opinions? They have no complexity whatsoever?

don't ask me if dead friends count because I don't know right now, it is a question I've been thinking of a lot lately because a couple people I know have died

just include them for now

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:11 (thirteen years ago) link

dead people are not irl

ban drake (the rapper) (max), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:11 (thirteen years ago) link

well see, the thing is I had a friend who committed suicide recently and sometimes when I walk around I think about him, and I wonder if the thoughts that I have about him really should even exist anymore, because he doesn't really exist anymore irl, but does he?, and thinking about him, while walking around, makes me sad, but sometimes it doesn't, so should I even think about people at all, I've been thinking about it recently

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:14 (thirteen years ago) link

also he would only add one to the people I know total so its not that big of a deal in that respect but it may be a big deal in other respects

you should think about him

in my world of loose geirs (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:16 (thirteen years ago) link

whatever else he was, he was always an idea in our head, and that idea is still there, it is still "real" in a literal sense

in my world of loose geirs (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:16 (thirteen years ago) link

yeah that's pretty much the direction I'm gravitating towards, also, it's like, if I think about him, then I think about him, nothing more nothing less, but then again, its still kind of confusing

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:19 (thirteen years ago) link

pretty cool how a guy who confesses that he doesn't have many straight friends is fronting like he's an expert on straight dudes in the same thread

Maybe I should have clarified that I don't have that many close straight male friends, but the ones I do have we discuss these issues fairly regularly. So I do have interactions with people from different orientations.

Also, what is wrong with talking about the unbalance, complex issue of how western World sees sexuality. That doesn't mean I'm fronting like an expert. This shit has been going on for awhile.

lilsoulbrother, Friday, 8 April 2011 19:19 (thirteen years ago) link

I think the point you are missing is that sexuality can be fluid and isn't necessarily something that's set in granite?

banjee trillness (The Reverend), Friday, 8 April 2011 19:21 (thirteen years ago) link

xpost I think he's arguing people who use the "fluidity" defense only when they're caught getting head from a MOTSS in a men's bathroom.

Western society hasn't fully accepted this mindset. If we did, then Mister Cee having sex with a transsexual wouldn't be seen as a big deal.

lilsoulbrother, Friday, 8 April 2011 19:24 (thirteen years ago) link

Eric otm - it's really about privilege.

it was always a tranny

J0rdan S., Friday, 8 April 2011 19:26 (thirteen years ago) link

which is why i asked if it was possible that mr cee didn't know it was a dude (highly unlikely i know)

J0rdan S., Friday, 8 April 2011 19:27 (thirteen years ago) link

The person Mister Cee was with is a male who dresses like/and maybe identifies with women. Hence he's transsexual.

Taken from Oxford Dictionary:

transsexual |tran(s)ˈsek sh oōəl|
noun
a person born with the physical characteristics of one sex who emotionally and psychologically feels that they belong to the opposite sex.
