Kanye vs. Taylor Swift: Dumbest beef of all time

See I'm used to Jonathan Ross spoiling everything. In fact I bet that the next time Kanye is next on JR's show - no matter how far in the future that is - JR interupts him (OK so he interupts everybody but stay with me here) and says "yaddayaddayadda I'll let you finish blah-de-blah-de-blah"

Then someone will tell Ross about the VMA fracas.

Your "KANYE WAS WRONG" needing to be washed about thrice a week from overuse, right?

Bahaha

Alex in NYC, Monday, 14 September 2009 20:04 (sixteen years ago)

having an interview w/ Hugh Grant already booked when HG got arrested turned out to be the lucky coincidence that helped put Leno permanently ahead of Letterman in the ratings so I wouldn't put it past him to capitalize on this

Really? Of all the posts in the thread that made you laugh?

Alex, Lord Autogoon (some dude), Monday, 14 September 2009 20:07 (sixteen years ago)

Toby Keith v Kanye West slap fight is pretty much the only way you could get me to watch Leno

helped put Leno permanently ahead of Letterman in the ratings so I wouldn't put it past him to capitalize on this

Yeah, but he knows and we know that his 10pm show is not going to beat real tv shows that he's up against, so there's really no upside to his bringing it up other than just general curiosity by viewers and, maybe, giving Kanye a platform to apologize. NBC probably loves it, though.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 14 September 2009 20:16 (sixteen years ago)

Obviously the only reasonable answer here is that Taylor Swift books Leno and crashes the show to interrupt Run This Town

i'd love to hear a cutie-country version of some of the 808s material

I was just about to point out that the first track on 808s, whose name I couldn't remember, would maybe sound dope inna Grand Ole Opry style, when I looked it up and found

a lot of "internet" shit is 4chan/SA derived w/o ppl really knowing. lolcats were a 4chan thing originally i think

"After a certain point the internet joke must either become more grand and abstract (the girl in the shower comic) or horribly tasteless (Chris Brown beating Rhianna). But what does the interactivity of Web 2.0 mean for our society when it joins forces with the anonymuncules? We here at Slate are thinking this through ponderously and academically, and, as Susan Sontag once noted about blogging trends before she died..." - excerpt from that future slate article

well, he's doing "Run This Town" w/ Jay and Rihanna...hasn't been any indication that he's going to do an interview or statement or anything, although i wouldn't be surprised if he did (xpost)

if some publicists are about their business Taylor Swift will run on and interrupt "Run This Town" with full consent & involvement of all, meme lasts another week, all happy
