The most assholish scenario (and don't count it out) is that he's implying that something he would reveal would turn the public against Rihanna. Unless she beat him with a puppy that then died, I doubt it.

Didn't see the interview, what did CB's mom say about how the situation affected her?

basically she commented on he way the "media" had treated her son and she felt bad for him for having to go through this. and i totally get that she's his MOM and wants to stand by her kid, but her even bringing that up filled me with so much rage, especially since she's a victim of abuse as well

i can't believe he can't even get a simple apology right, that his handlers didn't block the many inappropriate cringeworthy moments of the interview (romeo & juliet references? REALLY????), that he keeps falling short of even my ever-lowering expectations of him.

i'm not "rooting for him", but i'd love him to genuinely show that abusers can reform, can commit to changing their behaviour, to show genuine remorse. and...this is just so far from that. CAN YOU NOT EVEN TRY FAKING IT, CHRIS.

well idk, a few leaked trax (still unofficial right?) don't prove anything either way except that dude's been in the studio and a few people are still prepared to work w/him. it could well completely bomb.

I'd say even if it gets released it's still proof that you can do the most heinous shit and basically get away with it if you are famous enough.

non-famous convicted abusers can probably also expect their family and friends to rally round them after they've done their punishment too - violent men of any status don't tend to get ostracised completely.
