This in itself would not have been so bad had the Kings not conducted a relentless campaign of taunts for the previous six months, primarily via the flickr account 'ottewellfearsthepunani' (account since deleted), whereby the Kings put up photoshopped photos of Gomez singer Ben Ottewell looking at FHM covergirls with the caption "Me no likey."
The feud eventually culminated in Gomez interrupting the Kings Of Leon's set at the Roskilde festival by running onstage and beating them all unconscious, then setting fire to their beards. Gomez then seized the instruments and jammed for the next 90 minutes straight, to a rapturous reception from the Danish fans. The Kings Of Leon have not shown their faces in Scandinavia since.
