I think Britpop's a good call for Round 3, as it's such a reviled genre here, which makes digging out some worthwhile tunes an interesting challenge.

The question is, are we limiting ourselves to the initial 'Britpop' years

I think it gave 48 hours to submit a song after the last round ended.

we're in the voting stage for Get Funky so new people will have to wait until the Britpop submissions open up next week

there's lots of good stuff in this playlist that is unfortunately going to get no votes from me, there's just too many amazing songs to be able to spread votes around fairly

God damn, y'all Music Leaguers did not disappoint! Almost half the list are songs I'd not heard before, which is why I joined such a league - show me great tracks I somehow missed in my 49 years!

Can the league admin open it up to more players? Or is that not possible once a league is underway?

We are at 25 players right now which makes a really long playlist! I’m going to have one more round to see how that pans out before opening up to more players

Maybe we can start a second league for new players and those that want a second league to join?

i did pretty well last round, not so much this round, which makes me solidly mid-table

Sorry to be Johnny Deliberate. 😁 I like to give the list a few full listens each day to absorb the new (to me) tunes before deciding who earns my votes (y'all have some deep mental catalogues of music!)

Same here. I’m not one of those Xgau “i know exactly how i feel about a thing within a minute of encountering it” guys.

i feel like i was a little too mean to the sharon jones song. the daptone aesthetic is mildly annoying to me but it's a good song and performance

"misdemeanor" was my favorite find from this round, it has like six different hooks crammed into one little song. but i really enjoyed the whole thing.
