OK, so about 1:44:00 into Optimo's incredible Essential Mix, they drop this jaw-dropping remix of "Hallogallo", labeled as the "Mary Hill Rework". I have been searching for this thing for well over a year and a half, and the only other mention I can find of it is on http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/5956. Has anyone ever come across this before?? Was it rereleased under a different moniker/title/etc? I would kind of sell my kidney to get a hold of this...

i'm afraid the remix of "hallogallo" was never released. it was done by jg wilkes and we did talk about putting it out but that idea fell by the wayside somewhere along the line.

Todd Terje lists the Optimo Remix of They Came From The Stars I Saw Them as his number 1 in his dj chart on juno this month (even though it came out nearly 3 years ago...!)

i can't really remember what i was playing but i do remember shaking your hand and i also remember it being one of my favourite us gigs. i love philly! i'm back next month (not sure where yet).

i need to go to optimo again sometime, got a job that means i'm often off on Mondays now so no excuse.

Aaah, let me know the date as soon as you find out so I can get off work! NYC's overblown; Philly rules :)

are they pre-selling Field tickets? usually it's just on the door but when they do pre-sell some sub club gigs i think it's only half in advance so you should get in easily if you turn up just before the doors open.

that's the other worry. I think I'm seeing the Flaming Lips with a friend that night, which means (depending on where that gig is) I won't be making to the Sub Club until gone 11. Would be pretty annoyed if I missed The Field in order to see the Flaming Lips.

been lucky enough to see Twitch and Wilkes DJ in NYC several times but I always kinda had in the back of my mind that *one of these days* I'd try to see Optimo in Glasgow. didn't make it! bummer.
