I mean jesus with the right crowd it would be probably the most excellent set one could ever hope to hear. She's got so many ill deep cuts too, feel like any Kylie set should include Fragile, her Moroder collaboration, and most recently Somebody to Love. You don't need my pro tips though I'm sure!

i do, my friend, i do. a big yasss to all of that.

Sometimes I'll drive my kid crazy by listening to Kylie but he has admitted, "she is definitely a lot better than Taylor Swift"

also the live version of my oh my sounds better (less autotune)

Michael F Gill, Sunday, 18 August 2024 23:25 (one year ago)

this track is fucking fire, up there with her very best imo

he/him hoo-hah (map), Wednesday, 21 August 2024 15:54 (one year ago)

oh wow this is great

Tim F, Thursday, 22 August 2024 11:37 (one year ago)

i like this quite a bit more than "padam padam"

ufo, Thursday, 22 August 2024 12:16 (one year ago)

weird thing where the verse is much better than the chorus though

ufo, Thursday, 22 August 2024 12:20 (one year ago)

I like this LOADS more than "Padam Padam". Wow indeed.

mike t-diva, Thursday, 22 August 2024 13:16 (one year ago)

Yeah, this is brilliant and so much better than My Oh My.

I know there was talk of doing a Kylie poll on here one day. That would be a blast.

kitchen person, Thursday, 22 August 2024 14:47 (one year ago)

had to check as was wondering if the next kylie album was going to be a full on blessed madonna production.
which would be great imho.
unfortunately turns out this collab track is for blessed madonnas album and a one off.
so far.

mark e, Thursday, 22 August 2024 18:32 (one year ago)

i'm not really sure but this sounds like either an orgy or a k hole on the dance floor, maybe it's both?

"I didn't come to hold up the walls
I’m going deeper, deeper
Six deep in the bathroom stalls
A different creature, yeah
Why walk when you can crawl?"

the lyrics in this are so evocative, just the right amount of darkness and dedication to partying, i feel blessed that she had this rolling around in her at 56 lol. and blessed madonna's production is sublime of course. they're perfect together. an album if it happened could be incredible. as it is i'm just glad we got this one. agree that "my oh my" was weak sauce.

he/him hoo-hah (map), Thursday, 22 August 2024 19:25 (one year ago)

i still like it mind

he/him hoo-hah (map), Thursday, 22 August 2024 19:31 (one year ago)

def one of Kylie's better collabs. absolutely wild that she's 56 btw it's a very difficult proposition to pull off being a pop star of a *certain age* and not look ridiculous but she manages it better than almost anyone else.

omar little, Thursday, 22 August 2024 19:34 (one year ago)

I'm not one of those people who obsessively plays new tracks over and over again within a short space of time, but DAMN I am OBSESSED with this. Everything about it - production, lyrics, vibe - feels precision-tooled to be my personal catnip, and the thought of playing it out tomorrow night is a serious thrill; I know exactly where it's going to sit within the set.

(Yeah, it's alright.)

mike t-diva, Thursday, 22 August 2024 22:52 (one year ago)

11:59?

he/him hoo-hah (map), Thursday, 22 August 2024 23:01 (one year ago)

i had a vision of playing it right before midnight and then jumping into "100% pure love" by crystal waters

he/him hoo-hah (map), Thursday, 22 August 2024 23:02 (one year ago)

this is so good i love it

werewolves of laudanum (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 22 August 2024 23:20 (one year ago)

The penny's dropped with 100% Pure Love!

mike t-diva, Friday, 23 August 2024 08:39 (one year ago)

Really into it also. It’s a Raye joint, which you can really hear in the middle eight. I think there’s a version with her vocals on it that the Blessed Madonna was playing live. Not sure how Kylie ended up on it exactly but it’s fun to hear her doing something like this.

monotony, Friday, 23 August 2024 09:30 (one year ago)

The lyrics are also very Raye

Tim F, Friday, 23 August 2024 11:03 (one year ago)

That one-note chuggy section immediately reminded me of Boris Brejcha: Up Down Jumper, which I always play with the acappella from Texas Hold 'Em on top (get the two together in the right place, and it just sounds wonderful).

Lo and behold, it's the same note, same key, same rhythm, just 5bpm apart. So it's a Beyonce > Kylie mix for me tonight.

the verse sounds very gaga

they were in ibiza a few weeks back, i think that's where a lot of the footage is from?

he/him hoo-hah (map), Friday, 23 August 2024 21:49 (one year ago)

Played it out tonight, and Oh My God it landed hard, epic scenes etc. The sonics at volume are exquisite.

mike t-diva, Saturday, 24 August 2024 02:02 (one year ago)

awesome. yeah it sounds incredible. that sweet spot where it's loud but also deep and clear. i also played it out last night. most people didn't seem to know it yet but it went over well. kylie doesn't really register with my crowd. doja cat on the other hand... the little shits. i kid. kind of.

he/him hoo-hah (map), Saturday, 24 August 2024 15:57 (one year ago)

Murgatroid, Friday, 27 September 2024 17:48 (one year ago)

why in the world is an extended mix less than 4 mins long ;_;

Roz, Saturday, 28 September 2024 06:17 (one year ago)

Her last three albums have all been LP length with later Extended Mixes versions that are an hour long

This single is so good and it's one of her best videos in a long time.

Crazy to think this decade alone she's put out Say Something, Magic, Padam Padam, Tension, Hold On To Now, Edge Of Saturday Night and now this. All instant classic singles that would add to her already incredible back catalogue. I don't know how she does it.

Nice

Michael F Gill, Thursday, 3 October 2024 17:36 (one year ago)

two weeks pass...

The new album seems quite slight, especially with the songs being so short, but there's some great stuff here. It definitely works better as an album if you stop it after Edge Of Saturday Night.

kitchen person, Friday, 18 October 2024 03:26 (one year ago)

should I go see her live next year? still quite a few seats available
