I love this album. I was trying to describe it today: "it's got the densest chord voicings imaginable, dense as the densest COGIC gospel, married to jungle production that is also soft-rock, with lyrics that sound closest to my ears to Q-Tip but he's singing the whole time; also it is basically a New Classical album, it sounds like Steve Reich"

Sparked my interest fgti

Mothers piano definitely cheesy, but related to life enough for me to enjoy it (and as mentioned, the man has a voice).

this is really cool, so much better than i remember his debut being. my favourite tracks are the r&d&b ones (i'm so glad that's been such a trend this year) but there's this wonderful sense of suspension through the whole thing, the common thread between the jungle & reich influences.

the sound at his show last night was so awful i left a few songs in unfortunately. barely anything was audible over the absurdly loud bass

would've listened to Lahai earlier had I seen fgti's description. love how spacious it sounds, yet still so harmonically rich.
