Was reading that Ariel Pink "apology" which also had a defense from his girlfriend at the time. Then discovered she has accused him of emotionally, physically and sexually abusing her. Go figure.

in a way this is the best thing she could have done for her career, a nice interview with The Guardian Saturday supplement about her artistry would never have got her name trending on Twitter. Maybe next time she could make some statements denying the Holocaust and get an appearance on The One Show

She may well be the first prominent person to outright reject the Terf love-bombing. That’d be.. something at least.

Fully anticipate there will be thousands of people to listen to her new album when it's eventually released, many without having realized about the online storm. This doesn't look like it has registered on everyone's radar / level of scrutiny and to be more than a couple weeks of damage control.

Her initial statement was preposterous. But it also sounds like silliness and the kind of dumb thing artists say when they fall in the trap of misinformation. And proud and unapologetic or not, more like a one-time offence than a proof of permanent evil or contre-nature political association. I respect people who are disappointed, outraged, ready to mark her as a black sheep, everyone is free to set the bar, but I disagree with the prophecy it's the end of her career. Hate to say that as a concluding point, but this kind of thing gets drowned in the noise of much worse being said out there.
