^ya, i'm not huge on the a-side but "little boots" is pretty great. is he officially associated with this new 'international feel' label? because all of their other releases have been excellent so far, including that rocha 12" from last year, the "woman of candy" one-sided thing, and a bunch of upcoming, unreleased stuff too. looks like the guys from quiet village are putting something out on the label- under the pseudonym 'maxxi & zeus'- that sounds like awesome ambient balearica based on the samples. also some edits, including something they did to klaus schulze's "tango-saty"- you can hear most of these on the if soundcloud page

i remember him saying he was frustrated that nobody could get a copy of the releases on whatever we want, so looks like this could just be a widely-distributed version of weww. which sounds great to me.

i've been jamming a bunch of the international feel stuff today. Rocha, Hungry Ghost's Illuminations, Still Going remix of Coyote's Moving are all good.

sonic disco #1-3 are getting a re-release iirc

yea that new rocha single is great, esp the welcome stranger/thomas bullock remix. i'm actually down with most everything i've heard on the label, including the other two mizzell mentioned. "woman of candy" is HUGE

actually, to qualify- the new loccussolus track on the kenji takimi beats in space didn't do much for me. nor did the laughing light of plenty track after it, tbh

i think harvey is one of those djs that u never what u were going to get. or i should say you can know what you are going to get but its going to be contextual. i personally prefer his sarcastic parties where he plays for 10 hours and drops everything underneath the sun. in a club setting ive heard him drop house all night with a few italo tracks. it was cool but was nothing like seeing him drop e2-e4 as the sun is coming up in santa cruz.

i obsessed over finding it back in 06 after hearing it on that rub n tug mix

i called every record store in chicago asking if they had the original cause i didn't know about the cole medina edit. then found it the next day while looking for something else.

I know I saw it at least once at Turntablelab but didn't know what it sounded like until later. It's pretty nondescript looking.

Im pretty sure he played at disco bloodbath back when it was still at visions. But he is spot on, a fun party is so rare here to the point that I only really enjoy myself at cafe bloody oto on my own

Didn't get to see him when visions was still a thing. I know he spent a lot of time in the states in order to deal with visa/residency stuff.

I saw him play after Aeroplane at one of the Rhonda parties last year - it wasn't that great but I would imagine his stuff would go down about 100000000000x better in a smaller setting

i was at that party! so was ilx poster san frandisco.

i snuck backstage and surprised him right before he went on.

sound system at that venue is one of the best i've ever heard, but yeah he's more fun in a more intimate setting

i know ppl are sorta lukewarm on the locussolus album but i for one am willing to rep for it, i think the only seriously bad tracks are that andrew weatherall remix and "throwdown". that 20 min emperor machine remix is really pretty fucking great spacey/beardy disco, it might be the only thing i hadn't heard before but it was well worth the price of admission imo

so is the Soul Clap remix still unreleased aside from showing up on the DJ KiCKS mix?

the main thing I remember from that Rhonda show (other than the place going nuts for the Swiss' "Bubble Bath") was seeing some kid running around dressed up like Hitler

well that and the venue being UNBELIEVABLE

yeah that venue was awesome. insane multi-room VIP area w/ craze shit going on too
