I used to wake up in the morning, I used to feel so bad
I got so sick of having sleepless nights, I went and told my dad
He said, "Son, now here's some little something,"
And stuck it on my wall
And now my nights ain't quite so lonely
In fact I, I don't feel bad at all (I don't feel bad at all)

when I was in 6th grade choir they made us sing 'intro' songs, usually existing melodies with lyrics changed to be about facts about us, and one duo chose "Do You Love Me?" as their melody but sang "Do you know me? No I don't! Do you know me? No I don't! Do you know me? Now you're in my class!" and that's still how I hear it to this day because I remember only the most inane shit from childhood.

This one is not "inexplicable" but if I see the name France Joli I'm definitely singing it to the tune of her big hit "Come to Me," as in

France Joli
When you're all alone and feeling down
France Joli
When there's nobody else around

France Joli, for me, harks to the early 80s Enjoli commercial jingle:

I can bring home the bacon
France Joli
Fry it up in a pan
France Joli
And never let you forget you're a man

Cause I'm a woman

Josefa, Thursday, 15 June 2023 15:22 (two years ago)

I looked it up on YouTube and it is actually late 70s.

(Insert usual "Why the fuck do I have a perfume commercial from 1979 permanently lodged in my head, and I don't know where I put my car keys yesterday?" rant here)
