cool. if you watch the vids on youtoob of the la show you can see all these faces that were being displayed in the pyramid that i could not see live.

the concourse sucked in a lot of ways but i could see all the faces! and the awesome designs on the pyramid!! with the 3D lines and shit. I LOVE U DAFT PUNK

LA had Ratatat (terrible)
and then two DJ sets with SebastiAn and Kavinsky (who are awesome)

100% Some elements and sections were the same (1st half at least). There are also new effects and the whole encore is new.

I should say 100% positive. I rarely post anything I'm not positive about.

yeah there was a lot of similar stuff the coachella set, but this one was like a half-hour longer.

it was alot of the same samples and stuff of course. i dont think any two sets are going to be exactly the same. they are mixin on the fly.

that setup is actually surprisingly simpler than what I had imagined. A whole lot less computer monitor screens than I would have though.

And Max, I was there on the Concourse as well, row 1 of section 7, which was way in back. Nosebleed, but I saw everything, and it didn't keep me and the gf from dancing through the whole set!

Saw them in Berlin a few weeks ago doing the same set. Lights around stadium in pix here look much better. We had way too much ambient light unfortunately. Cracking set, it was great looking up at stage and seeing them pump fists in the air. The masks and suit thing was incredible, so much better than last year! They also appear to be Jay Z fans as they were doing the pyramid hands thing at the end...

o man i can't wait. i hope the fact that i am in the seated section of keyspan doesn't totally suck.

Anyone going to the Seattle show on Sunday or going to the aftershow?

I've put my name down for the free guestlist for the aftershow, but I feel pretty silly going to a club by myself. I'm even spending an extra night in Seattle because of this show (originally I was supposed to leave early monday morning)

I am waaaaay kicking myself over this. I can't even get some scalped tickets and skip work, because I'm in hot water over my chronic tardiness. Is Daft Punk worth getting fired over? I think it may be.

how much are the tickets to these shows? i'm contemplating buying a 1-day ticket for lollapalooza, mostly just to see daft punk, and i wondered how that price compares to their solo shows.

it's $50 here (but i paid a little more because i lagged on tix).

what do you think - $80 for daft punk, lcd soundsystem, m.i.a., the rapture, blonde redhead, satellite party, etc

Face value in LA was $65, but they were going for 125-150 on craigslist and then up to 200 outside the venue.

damn! i guess $80 isn't too bad then. it just feels like a lot of money though. i'm not even a huge fan, but i've gotten the impression that this is something you don't want to miss.
