Voted a second time.

voted 2 because, come on, that's really it.

MORBID RANGEL (D-NY) (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 16:25 (sixteen years ago)

second time?

For some reason most ILM polls let me vote once before the final 24 hours, then again in the hours preceding the results. Never have been sure if I'm getting to vote twice, or just erasing/changing my previous vote... but it's fun!

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 16:46 (sixteen years ago)

maybe you are on a different comp?

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 16:48 (sixteen years ago)

i hope the old albums are well represented here since I assume most people only know the reformed line up albums.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 16:48 (sixteen years ago)

bees for me, although i have a weird soft spot for phase 3.

squirrelbait, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 17:12 (sixteen years ago)

i really am not sure what will win this, but i get a sneaking feeling Bees might.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 17:21 (sixteen years ago)

It'll be 2.

Mark G, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 17:31 (sixteen years ago)

i voted bees

mark cl, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 17:34 (sixteen years ago)

An hour left to vote.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 21:53 (sixteen years ago)

I want to know more about the love for Pentastar, cos I don't get it.

Duke, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 21:58 (sixteen years ago)

I think it'll be Bees just over 2, with the others trailing. Personally I voted for Phase 3, although all of these are great.

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:02 (sixteen years ago)

Because Pentastar was awesome, that's why.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:11 (sixteen years ago)

earth 2

EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK THERE'S SOME DIFFERENT SHIT POPPIN OFF (latebloomer), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:12 (sixteen years ago)

i love pentastar. most people can't make albums that cool or they would have done it by now. loved that last album too though. more than i thought i would even. at first, i just fell in love with the fancy deluxe vinyl package. turns out it was an album worth the fancy packaging.

scott seward, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:14 (sixteen years ago)

The thing with "bees" is that the live versions on the radio earth lp are superior to the studio versions.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:28 (sixteen years ago)

8 minutes...

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:51 (sixteen years ago)

bees will win this

wax onleck, wax affleck (jjjusten), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:54 (sixteen years ago)

not saying it should, just that it will, and i think by a sgnificant margin

wax onleck, wax affleck (jjjusten), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 22:55 (sixteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

System, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:01 (sixteen years ago)

Whatever.

He was only 21 years old when he 16 (Alex in SF), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:01 (sixteen years ago)

Oh shit, I would have voted for Legacy Of Dissolution!

One idiot even called me "redcoat" because I'm (country matters), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:02 (sixteen years ago)

hahahahaaaaaa wow so much for my l33t prediction skills

wax onleck, wax affleck (jjjusten), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:06 (sixteen years ago)

.. and yay for mine!

Mark G, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:08 (sixteen years ago)

Hex deserved better actually.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:08 (sixteen years ago)

i ended up voting for Earth 2 -- even though some of the later stuff is more pleasant to listen to, Earth 2 is so monumental and amazing ... Dunno, it'd be like voting against the Grand Canyon or something.

tylerw, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:13 (sixteen years ago)

i think i've requested this on every Earth thread ever but if any one has a digitized copy of the VHS that came with either Earth 2 or the first one, I would love to watch again please.

If you find it I am guessing it is worth $$$. Not on youtube AFAICT.

He was only 21 years old when he 16 (Alex in SF), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 23:30 (sixteen years ago)

Never seen it.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 00:44 (sixteen years ago)

that's the video that's just, like, old footage of semi-nude women with the music over it?

MORBID RANGEL (D-NY) (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 01:06 (sixteen years ago)

since i'm apparently letting ILM polls dictate what i post on my blog, I've just upped a 2006 Earth show over yonder: http://doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/

tylerw, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 02:12 (sixteen years ago)

i'm glad i wasn't the only person to vote for phase three; that album's really underrated. the opening track alone's
a masterpiece of epic concision: two guitars, three chords, totally majestic.

I like songs.

girlish in the worst sense of that term (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 16:16 (sixteen years ago)

dang. missed this. would've voted pentastar. frequently use it to zone out and code stuff at work. the head-nodding repetition is key.

probably not what earth intended, but hey.

I personally think it lacks the epic quality of other Earth stuff. To me it sounds like a reasonably conventional rock band instrumental. And definitely the most interesting song on the album.

Did everyone buy the "bible" vinyl of Bees?

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 23:03 (sixteen years ago)

Extra Capsular was recorded at Smegma studio and has some Cobain on it. I still like Pentastar best though.

Nate Carson, Thursday, 30 July 2009 01:34 (sixteen years ago)

two weeks pass...

i'm seeing them tonight. first time for me too. the anticipation is setting in in a major way.

charlie h, Thursday, 13 September 2012 04:15 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah, it is really beautiful. I've only heard it a couple of times but it's a bit different while obviously still being Earth.

kraudive, Friday, 29 August 2014 23:59 (eleven years ago)

I'm writing badly because I don't want to spoil. I guess. Mnerg.

kraudive, Saturday, 30 August 2014 00:01 (eleven years ago)

three months pass...

got the latest album yesterday.
bloody hell its good.
the band need to make a full album with rabia.
so, have now ordered, hex (and have it already via the auto rip groove), and angels of darkness pt 2.
this is perfect dark nights music.

mark e, Friday, 12 December 2014 18:34 (eleven years ago)

latest album hits the ilm metal top 10 and this is the extent of love.

cannot wait to get angels of darkness pt2 (f*ckin' xmas post !) ..

2 options :

full length with the bug.
full length with rabia.

no mix-n-match, one or the other.

mark e, Thursday, 18 December 2014 23:18 (eleven years ago)

angels of darkness pt 2 is okay but i haven't really been down with an earth release since the bees made honey

emo canon in twee major (BradNelson), Thursday, 18 December 2014 23:22 (eleven years ago)

i got part 2 just to fill the gap in the collection, i realise its not up there with the rest ..

mark e, Thursday, 18 December 2014 23:23 (eleven years ago)

still, a whole album of bug/earth would be fucking insane.

mark e, Thursday, 18 December 2014 23:25 (eleven years ago)

totally agree.

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 18 December 2014 23:28 (eleven years ago)

i have written to the label and told them to lock the fellas into a studio until they sort it out.

mark e, Thursday, 18 December 2014 23:53 (eleven years ago)

Surprised by the Big / Earth love. Found that Black Friday release sorta blah
