so i went into that new Redsky record store around the corner from my place. it's almost all dubstep. weirdly enough, the owner told me that SF is the biggest dubstep maker and listener city in the states.

probably my favorite bay area band at the moment. ever since the bass player mndr left for NY, she's been skyping in for shows, and on this show, another one skyped in from vegas and it really worked. when the robots show up a minute in, I could really feel the panic from the guy sitting next to me

saw them a few months ago in NYC with major equipment failure and it was still good, but not as great as the BIMBO's show from earlier this year.

the one time I went to rickshaw stop the sound was just too weird (i.e. the room was too dead).

No, I was about 8 feet from the stage and all I could hear was the sound from the PA ... it was fairly soon after they opened, I think, so they could very well have improved it. Obviously different rooms are better for different types of music. Rickshaw was not good for a duo with just guitars and vocals.

I figured it had to do with avoiding noise complaints from the very close by neighbors, so it wasn't a total wtf thing.
