I noticed that nobody had nominated Desire Lines, which I thought odd, as I'd have probably thrown it some points. Ah well!

i was certain someone else had nominated it (Revival) but looks like it was a difference track.

Just wanted to point out that Ke$ha - TiK ToK is a 2009 song. Is that a "year of impact" thing?

yeah it first hit #1 in the US in 2010 & stayed there for a while, there's a pretty clear argument there

ok, those are good arguments. I moved right at the turn of the decade, and distinctly remember first hearing tiktok at "the old house". but it definitely grew and grew in popularity.

yeah it had a slow build to #1 in november/december 2009, finally hitting it at the start of 2010 and staying there for 9 weeks

It's funny, I also moved in 2010, and def. associate "Tik Tok" with the "new house" (tho I wasn't super plugged in, who knows when I finally heard it)

I strongly associate "Tik Tok" with "According To You" by Orianthi.

How many ballots have been received so far? Trying to decide if going the full 50 on each of mine would make a difference or not, and also hoping that the deadline creeps toward the end of the weekend rather than the beginning.

only 31 so far, individual ballots are still having a fairly large impact, but i'm expecting a significant portion will come in the last few days because that's usually how it is

Depending on the number of ballots the rollout will be a top 100. I’d say at least 40 ballots will give the push to not have a bunch of ties in the low end.

i'd be pretty disappointed if we didn't get enough votes for a top 100 (without being pretty silly anyway) but i think we'll get there

Big Boi is a good guess tho. That album seemed adored when it came out several top 3 rankings everywhere that eoy and it lost loads of impact on end of decade.

Maybe one of the cancelled 2010s artists like Kanye or Grimes.

I can see it being Lana's NFR. Feel like other albums of hers might get more support, especially Ultraviolence.

My Bloody Valentine is another one I wouldn't be surprised it was ignored/forgotten.

I did notice "Horchata" and "Cousins" by Vampire Weekend on the list, and those are arguably 2009 songs, as they were released as singles in October and November respectively. Though I suppose they could get by on Year of Impact rules. Does feel a little odd to see them on there, and then on the other end of the decade see "Don't Start Now".

I thought that Broken Flowers by Danny L Harle had been nommed as a track but apparently this was an album! Possibly will manage to find 50 other tracks to vote for despite this major setback

Hi there! I think that this may have affected the spelling of Jane Weaver - Modern Kosmology which is spelled in the spreadsheet as "Modern Cosmology". Could the Jane Weaver album be given its proper spelling in the albums list?

People on ILM were lining up to listen to Donda 3. You sure they're going to hold his state of political confusion against albums that were released years earlier and critically lauded for their mad egocentric genius ? Also the Big Boi still sounds fresh and fun, it takes Daddy Fat Sax three seconds to put a smile on my face.

Voted just now. I hadn't really been much of a "yearly list" sort of person for much of the decade, so largely started from scratch. The noms made for a good 6-ish weeks of listening!

Glad to see it was extended. i've spent this whole poll thinking "nah, i shouldn't vote, there's no way i could feel confident enough in any ballot i put together"... but I've had a total turnaround since then. I've absolutely gotta vote, even if i end up doing an unranked ballot.
