those are the other big shots imo that are *not* my personal favs

well, SER *is* a personal fav, but I don’t consider it a contender. (and AUS is neither)

Ireland was awful. I don’t understand anyone who liked it. Dated af.

Moldova should make a strong showing on that placement. The train song is fun!

I'd much rather be watching dated upbeat pop than the raft of sad whining men that got through, so I supported Ireland. Also I liked the synth line that came in at times.

Am absolutely going to be voting for Moldova tonight, the video for the song is so great. Have yet to hear any of the big five but almost everyone I know is really excited about the UK’s entry?

Oh dear god the UK entry sucks so bad. I like France's entry, and Spain seems like a banger but a bit by-the-numbers. Don't think I've heard more than mini clips of the other two?

I think people are excited about the UK entry because he's tiktok famous so might not crash and burn? But we've had name recognition before and it didn't help.

I don't care for the UK entry, but have to say it is an improvement on the last few years, it at least has a memorable hook.

Also having a young fanbase across the continent will help.

Yeah the name recognition is dependent on also having a semi decent song. Blue did ok, Humperdinck and Bonnie Tyler, not so much.

Radio 4 talking about Eurovision just now, seem to be excited not that the UK have a chance of winning but that they are likely to finish in the top half of the leaderboard.

I can remember the hook ("space... maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn") but not the rest of it.

remember last year when the hook was [generic EDM trumpet sample 001] and they decided to highlight this by having him perform between two giant trumpets

It’s better than average for a UK entry but I have doubts about how well it will do on stage. Also the hook that’s in my head is actually the Babylon Zoo hook.
