This array of songs does contain one of those tracks, indeed.

;)
Seems like they played the same set yesterday in Amsterdam. What a fucking amazing show. Divide and Dissolve were awesome, too

willem, Friday, 6 May 2022 09:36 (four years ago)

Ahhh missed that. Sweet! That was an amazing performance when they played it at Primavera in 2019. Very much looking forward to this show. Perhaps they drop one or two more Double Negative tracks in the encore.

octobeard, Friday, 6 May 2022 20:09 (four years ago)

Saw them for the first time. Great concert, great rendition of Hey and others, hearing the album live made me appreciate it anew.

four weeks pass...

hey, I just walked around the perimeter of Rock the Garden and there's a good & close view of the smaller stage from outside. probably gonna walk back for Low at 7:45.

sloop johnnin' skater (geoffreyess), Saturday, 11 June 2022 22:52 (three years ago)

oh yeah, this was great. five from Hey What, plus No Comprende, Plastic Cup, Canada ("did you ever think we'd still be up here after all this time, doing a clap-along?"). I was under a tree full of wind chimes, they should record an album with that tree. Low shows tend to contain at least one of the coolest things I've ever heard, this time it was the whole second half of Price You Pay.

wait, was it previously announced that Mimi's been fighting cancer?

Murgatroid, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:16 (three years ago)

I had no idea.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:21 (three years ago)

I don't think they made an official announcement before, but when they did the live shows from home during lockdown she was sometimes absent from those, so I think people knew something was wrong.

lord of the rongs (anagram), Monday, 15 August 2022 16:24 (three years ago)

i believe she mentioned it in a radio interview earlier this year - don’t have a source handy but i think it’s linked upthread somewhere

donna rouge, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:28 (three years ago)

yes, in this post on January 20th:

Low: Classic or classic?

StanM, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:32 (three years ago)

Whenever she was gone, or Alan was doing something else, I just figured she was doing family stuff.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:38 (three years ago)

:( unfortunately advanced ovarian cancer doesn't have great long-term prognosis. hope she can beat the odds.

that's not my post, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:42 (three years ago)

Upsetting news. Best wishes to them.

Chris L, Monday, 15 August 2022 16:50 (three years ago)

absolutely dreadful news, best of luck to them, hopefully mimi will successfully recover

broccoli rabe thomas (the table is the table), Monday, 15 August 2022 16:58 (three years ago)

It's been some years for me since I saw them last and while I had hoped to see the Double Negative tour that wasn't an option due to some surgery I had around that time. That's small potatoes to this and now my selfish wish to see them again is because I just want her to make it through this.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 15 August 2022 22:19 (three years ago)

Have to say I got a little choked up listening to “Don’t Walk Away” tonight— something about it radiates the ‘despite everything i love you more than anything’ vibe that happens with your person. I really hope Mimi is in good hands and has a full recovery.

Very sorry, y’all. Mim is in a pretty fragile state and it’s just not possible to perform or travel for now. https://t.co/IWwKn6CKRC

global tetrahedron, Monday, 12 September 2022 19:28 (three years ago)

Aw, that's bad news. Hopefully she's getting the treatment she needs, even if that's what is keeping her from playing.

They just cancelled the UK and Europe dates in November. Send your positive thoughts and energies Mimi’s way.

RIP Mimi :(

Friends, it’s hard to put the universe into language and into a short message, but

She passed away last night, surrounded by family and love, including yours. Keep her name close and sacred. Share this moment with someone who needs you. Love is indeed the most important thing.

so fucking sad, what a voice

this is heartbreaking. it's pretty hard to put into words what her voice and presence meant. one of the greatest bands of all time full stop.

Lord Pickles (Boring, Maryland), Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:13 (three years ago)

So awful, so young. Hard to think of another band that had kept it going with such perfect alchemy, pushing themselves to new heights, for as long as they have been. She was the core ingredient, just angelic in the music so often.

omar little, Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:14 (three years ago)

So glad I saw them at Big Ears. This hurts bad

In Metal was the one I went to as well. This is hard.

Mule, Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:18 (three years ago)

Won’t ever forget when I saw them this past March and they played “2-Step,” and when she came in, it felt like life might be worth living— her voice had that kind of emotional heft and potency.

poppin' debussy (the table is the table), Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:20 (three years ago)

Absolutely devastated. RIP.

This is the kind of news that makes me never want to listen to music again. Or only listen to music.

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:26 (three years ago)

Fuck. RIP. Really genuinely sad.

emil.y, Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:29 (three years ago)

Once I was lost
To the point of disgust
I had in my sight
Lack of vision
Lack of light
I held hard
I held fast
Mercy me
Never last

Then in the dust
All the things
We discussed
Were thrown to the wind
So at last
We begin
So we fall hard
We fall fast
Mercy me
Never last

poppin' debussy (the table is the table), Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:30 (three years ago)

I felt so lonely and isolated during the lockdowns in 2020 but the band’s weekly IG Live concerts gave me something to look forward to when everything else seemed so bleak, a way to experience something beautiful together with other people. A salve at a time when I dearly needed it.
