Every time my partner says "darling", I think (and sometimes say) "we're up against it." Which is a problem, because darling is my partner's go-to when addressing me.

The thing is, I don't even like 'Major Leagues' that much. But it's lodged in my head somehow.

when I was in 6th grade choir they made us sing 'intro' songs, usually existing melodies with lyrics changed to be about facts about us, and one duo chose "Do You Love Me?" as their melody but sang "Do you know me? No I don't! Do you know me? No I don't! Do you know me? Now you're in my class!" and that's still how I hear it to this day because I remember only the most inane shit from childhood.
