honestly no, but who cares? it's a rambling incoherent mess. very much the zeitgeist of my discrepancy with the band in general.

yeah I was gonna add a caveat that there are obvs offensive opinions one could post, though even there, apart from arbitrary nonsense invented to prove the point (right-handed people can't sing, etc), how new would they be? "Geir-esque" suggests not very

Tbf, opinions don't have to be new to be controversial.

A thread where you can vent your unpopular opinions without necessarily getting into in-depth discussion with people who are highly invested in the opposite pov seems fine to me.

My point was only that non-new controversial opinions are boring (to me), not that newness is a required condition. fwiw I think imago's hyped albums you want to diss thread might serve more of a purpose than this broader thread. Anyway, I don't like the ILE versions of this thread either, so clearly it's something about me not nec the thread

all christmas music is inherently bad . . . not just subjectively either. it ruins societies and i'm sure if pure evil manifested itself into human form, that would be pure evil's musical preference.
