You can hear the sharp anger in his voice when Mellencamp talks about gun control. “The National Rifle Association says guns don’t kill people, people kill people – bullshit,” he said. “Guns were made as weapons and are meant to kill people, that’s what the fuck they’re any good for. Any other argument is just bullshit.”

It's funny, there have been so many angry young men in rock and roll, but Mellencamp may have been the only one to start off pissed off and stay that way forever.

I'm gonna see King Crimson on Tuesday, I'm gonna wear a mask but it's seated and I am guessing most of their audience will be vaccinated, I'm not really worried. maybe I should be.

I had a ticket to see King Crimson this past Tuesday, and it was originally supposed to be outdoors. But because of the hurricane the show got moved indoors, so I requested a refund for my ticket. I’m bummed that I missed them, but the indoor venue wasn’t requiring masks or proof of vaccination, and I didn’t feel like it was worth the risk.

It's probably easier for Neil to make the no touring call than someone like Bully. I don't foresee going to an indoor show before 2022 but with vax requirements especially it's hard to fault bands.

I volunteered a couple of shifts for Galway Arts Festival yesterday. Both had very few attendees , one is going to be circulated as a podcast, would love to have a permanent record of the other.
Both needed people to be masked throughout and asked people to sit in pods of 2 with a lot of space between them. & had initially asked people to have covid certificates as well as the volunteers. So that's a step in the right direction.
