it was manifestly obvious on the first listen that it was deliberate. she is hitting the same notes over and over again

It's totally possible to be off key on every note, esp if you make certain (common) errors in vocal technique. (See for reference: any group not made up of professional singers singing "Happy Birthday"). I think Brand is probably genuinely limited as a singer. I just think it's more likely to be a case of accepting it and running with it than of massive self-delusion. Not sure what the basis is for assuming she's exceptionally wealthy, either.
