If it had been Boyish by Japanese Breakfast it would have been easy, but right now it feels like a coin toss between Paramore and Wolf Alice.

some of these rankings seem bizarre. somehow i didn't know there was a "mask off" remix with kendrick lamar

i went with "motion sickness" tho i was also tempted to go for "love galore"

Over Everything, Hard Times, and T-Shirt are all great.

boys is the greatest song of all time

Surprised myself by choosing Phoebe Bridgers, a song I barely noticed at the time but love now.

track 10, big for your boots, LMK, both kendrick tracks are also fucking great. whatever's left of indie rock here is largely worse than ever though

Hard Times just over Green Light, I think. Cut to the Feeling is up there too. Might have gone with Wolf Alice or Charli XCX if there had been different offerings from the same albums.

I like "Cut To The Feeling" but not as much as anything on Emotion. It kinda always sounded like a glossed-up b-side to me.

"Humble," "XO Tour Llif3," "Boys," "New Rules," "Truth," "Cut to the Feeling," and "Don't Delete the Kisses" all make my top 100 songs of the decade. The Phoebe, War on Drugs, Charli ("Track 10"), and Japanese Breakfast albums would do the same.

I went with "Cut to the Feeling." Glossed up, certainly, but also transportive for me in a way no other track on this list is. An instant sugar high.

Damn, I missed "Magnolia" - definitely made my tracks of the decade. Same with "Boys" but I'm assuming that will get lots of votes.

I know ILM is a bad forum to make this point in, but it's funny to me that Acclaimed's methodology makes it seem like Slowdive was one of the biggest musical phenomena of 2017, and that they were far more significant in that year than in their 90s work: http://acclaimedmusic.net/artist/Slowdive.htm

it could be argued that slowdive are more popular now (in the u.s.) than they ever were in their 90s heyday

def part of the dissonance for me is how weird it is for this former teenaged US slowdive fan to see them alongside Kendrick, SZA, and Charli XCX with not one but two songs on this list (another part is I thought the reunion album was p boring but w/e)

this is an interesting discussion, as a fan of Slowdive since the debut album and seeing them or Mojave 3 around 15 times since the debut album. the 2017 album was finally their breakthrough, they played arenas three to four times bigger than anything they ever did in the 90s. also the latest album was probably more revered than any of their prior albums. i actually think the newest album is their best as well, it just all came together for them...

Going off the beaten track and voting for the 12 minute epic "Thinking of a Place."

Damn, I hadn't quite noticed this before and now I'm not going to be able to hear it any other way.

I think that's true of a lot of Carly Rae Jepsen songs and I've just learned to accept it.

I hated that song but tbf she's actually tied at a 'third-place' level with eight other songs, with six songs scoring higher.

Some really great songs with no votes there. Wolf Alice in particular deserved better.
