ok, yeah, so now i'm really psyched about Operation Cassie Fan Club Mixtape

she tweeted that they're not going to be on electro love (lol as if that thing will EVER get a release at this point), they're all from a couple of years ago. they're nice enough but tbh nothing that's leaked this year has grabbed me half as much as the connecticut fever non-album from 2007-08 that i put together for myself.

No, Nobody But You (ft the dream), I dunno I just picture her voice in such clicky icey soundscapes that tricky's lush minimalism shouldn't work but the way her voice shifts gears between the verse and bridge is pretty next level

altogether, incl. "cassie" i have 63 tracks on my iTunes, but there might be a couple of duplicates in there...

also the ft. lil wayne is not optional, wayne-free vers is the only real version

Oh, jeez, yeah. That was the tail end of 2008 and at the time I think a lot of us wrote it off as a sub-Mariah Mariah song, esp. since Terius'n'Tricky were working on Memoirs at the time, but in retrospect a) it's a fucking GREAT song, and b) They didn't give Mariah ANYTHING close to this (would that they had).
