i had no idea it existed until tim f told me about it today but i'm really surprisingly about the springsteenian shift in their sound

i listened to the black foxxes record twice in a row today, it's the real deal

listened to that acceptance album yesterday, thx brad. i think its ok, about half good. i get a lot of killers sound from it.

about half good is where i landed as well, but that half is real good

dark age through wildfires is the highlight for me.

I'll stand behind that. Relationship of Command, Burn Piano Island, and now Lament. He has a lot of credits under his belt that I don't care for but its undeniable that he had a major role in some of my absolute favorite albums ever made.

weirdly I'm only not totally sold on the epic closer? otherwise this is definitely scratching the neo-90s-altrock itch that Wolf Alice does for me

it is a bit Radiohead for me to completely love it but I can see why Brad likes Panic so much, haha. And that last minute is an almighty payoff

the first four tracks are my favourite stretch because I'm an instant gratification junkie lol

but that was the case with the Foxing album as well and I ended up loving all of it

the fox bands need to do an album together

I also really like the closing track but my favourite bit of it is the songy opening stretch

Is there not a way to get a physical version of that Black Foxxes record in the US? Even when I go to their website and click on the literal pictures of the LP or CD versions in their shop, it kicks me to a link that only takes me to streaming/digital ways to get it.

album out Friday, good chunky rumbling, slightly dreamy punk/emo with vocals that remind me of other (older) bands but i can't quite place ... especially the use of looooooong, held out notes/syllables. i feel like there's a really close 80s/90s analog, but i'm having trouble figuring it out.

Not sure of the protocol with the jump to the new thread, but finally got around to the Black Foxxes record. This is terrific. I haven't kept up with everything itt, but this and the new Ratboys records were huge discoveries for me this year thanks to you folks.
