surgeon is a really fascinating artist, everything he does is either meaningless loops devoid of all feeling or he creates something epic out of like three ingredients, like a barbecue pitmaster.

i thought surgeon was pretty popular around here? i really like his work from 97-01, especially the tresor albums and early counterbalance 12s. i love love love the counterbalance collection mix cd from 2001, probably the greatest drum loop techno statement of purpose from someone not named jeff mills that exists. british murder boys was aight but honestly i cooled off on him alot when he got very eclectic and laptoppy around 2007.

i think the fabric mix was when i pretty much gave up - now i hear he's doing like modular ambient music? lol
