the CD (which comes with a download) is actually more expensive than just the download, LOL

Hoping to snag both records in person somewhere locally when they come out. Pre-order shipping prices just for this one is a bit steep. Limited edition shit like the NTS box set is one thing, though.

To be clear this is just a vinyl compilation of the three CD/DVD releases from 2003-11, not new material. I found them pretty boring at the time.

Yeah I bought the CDs & listened to them twice at most. Then when I sold my whole collection except for the autechre ones, they went too.

I have been waiting for this for a very very very long time

so one cool thing when you keep listening to the elseq-NTS-AE_LIVE thing is recognizing one melody or pattern manifest itself in another track. for example I just noticed that "7th slip" uses the melody from "chimer 1-5-1" though it's such a different sound it escaped me the first 20 listens

FYI just got notification that the LP5 vinyl reissue has been delayed

looking on Discogs & WATMM a few people have had this issue. one said "Rae" (B1) had that issue too so maybe some of the records got warped. I wonder if adjusting your tonearm weight would work.

I reported the issue with Rae. Was not a warping thing - sounded like the master. Audio was literally cut weird or glitched in a way that vinyl doesn't produce.

I got a replacement copy from Bleep and it did the same thing on both my turntables. Nothing wrong with any of the other tracks.

I had a bunch of Micronauts toys as kid. I think they all disappered at some point, not been able to find any of it. Really cool and bizarre stuff like Transformers on mushrooms.

that's interesting, is it something subtle that maybe I'm just not noticing? my copy plays fine and it would be really strange if there were different masters - I've had vinyl with actual glitches in it but it's stuff that everyone reports.

wonder if maybe its something with the packaging. those cardboard inner sleeves are awfully tight and sometimes stuff with unconventional packaging like that will have some debris in the grooves. like little bits of cardboard or whatever that you can't see. maybe a cleaning would help. I guess you'd just have to watch the needle and see what happens. I have heard that if music is too loud and fills up too much of the spectrum it can cause skipping on some equipment, but I've never seen that myself. if any album did it I suppose it would be LP5.

i wondered about that - the little cut out part of the outer sleeve might somehow be exposing the outer tracks to damage? I doubt it.

I wish they'd also rereleased EP7 along with these two - would have made sense to do them as a three

idk but some Discogs comments indicate that a good cleaning fixes it which implies that something may be getting stuck in there. but I kinda have my doubts on that too since it's the same part of the record for everyone.

I'm curious what future plans hold - the ones I'm really hoping for are Untilted, Quaristice, and Exai. maybe they plan to do the EPs after that? or release 'em all as some big ol' set like they did on CD a while back?
