Remember seeing ads for Pure Moods a lot on TV (didn't we poll it?). I had never heard "Return to Innocence" before and the 10-second snippet they played really made me want to hear the whole song

I really liked this review, because even though I own and adore that compilation, the writing put a new perspective on it, the piece is a really good justification for why it's worth them doing these Sunday revisits

Some good lines in that review, for sure. (Quoting Sontag on camp is a bit of a “Webster’s Dictionary defines ________ as...” move, but the citation feels earned in the 2nd reference.)

That Deep Forest track is mad underrated

a little confused on this, I think they are reviewing a 97 edition with a different tracklist than the one President Keyes posted?

The review itself mentions that there was an original UK version, which was tweaked for the later US release. Not clear on what the changes were tbh.
