My favourite thing about it after one listen is how it ends with song that would fit on Minnie Riperton's Come To My Garden.

wow "soul control" is funky

all of this was fabulous but jaw hit the floor the most probably on the last song

weird how "adore you" felt so monumental when it came out last year and yet amongst all this it feels slight and subtle. still such an incredible song!

I haven't responded this well to a record in this vein since...the second Natalie Prass album, I wanna say?

this is a very different beast (much more upbeat for starters) but the combo of new and 'retro" sounds/signifiers brought it to mind

The album mix of "Spotlight" mutes that weird synth (?) noise I loved in the single edit

Sorry I should probably know what that sound is as an ilxor whatever who cares

yeah, my only qualms with this are that she dialed down spotlight slightly on the album version and also that overtime should've been included

As much as I love "Overtime", its exclusion makes sense considering the sound of the rest of the album

Yeah, I also thought those little synth hiccups had been quietened on the album version for some reason. I thought it might have just been the vinyl.

This should be a massive record for her. Why haven't all these singles been huge?

I guess with something like Dua Lipa's Don't Start Now becoming such a huge worldwide hit, it wouldn't have been that weird if some of these single could have at least cracked the top 100 somewhere.

The extended intro of the album mix of “Save A Kiss” doesn’t really introduce elements that we didn’t hear in the single version but it still makes the song so much better. The value of an intro, y’all

Well well, if it isn't the best album ever made.

And yes, the (sorta) "Les Fleur" tribute on the final track is superb.
