I’m gonna give a shout out to the Up 2 Down remix of Why Don’t you take me, which sounds like an outtake from the Dark and Long ep. I’m pretty sure it incorporates elements of Spoon Deep

Also as an aside, seems like in the age of streaming when you get paid per play more and more remixes are only 5 minutes long. Underworld demonstrate that 15 minute remixes rule

Yeah, I noticed Max Richter has split his (admittedly 8 hour long) Sleep album into 204 tracks on Spotify and was wondering if that was for play count reasons

As there's a much smaller pool seems it would be a big advantage to the songs that have 2 or 3 UW remixes if those votes were combined.

The confusion arose because on the UK CD single the tracks were not only mislabeled but also in the wrong order (track 2 was actually the Hip Hop mix for example) and then with the advent of P2P sharing those errors spread far and wide (and are still incorrect on many soulseek results even today)

Emerson did a few Underwater ones in 96 (so not really UW) but there's the Massive Attack one from 97 which was listed as "Darren Emerson for Underworld Mix"

I included Rick's and Emerson's solo remixes, and Karl &/or Rick's outside-Underworld guest spots, in the zip files in the other thread (which had a two-week expiry, so might be gone by now). Anything anyone cares to vote for is fine, but I figure these as the ~canonical~ '90s Underworld remixes.

oh boy! i've been a little off ilx for the past week due to "trying to actually focus on work" reasons so i haven't' hopped back on this thread but i will try to listen to some remixes and put together a ballot this week! 10th of july should be totally doable, i'll just pick a day and give a 1 or 0 to every track then relisten to the 1s and rank em.
