Gaiman’s older kids turned out alright by all accounts - raging narcissism aside, he seems like a pretty good dad.

My guess is he left their kid in NZ because it’s genuinely safer for him to be there than in the UK but wow how bad must things be if he’s willing to get on a plane in the middle of a pandemic just to get away from Amanda Palmer. And not only did she write about it on her Patreon, she also posted the link in a reply to Neil’s tweet just to make sure all his followers saw it too lol.

That's more her style than his, and moving to the UK from New Zealand in May 2020 seems like a lot of trouble to go to for a dramatic gesture.
