The last 30 seconds of the video make me so happy!
Because Tough Love exists, I can't quite call Spotlight her best single but it's already right up there. Her best of/singles collection is going to be insane.

respect to Jessie but Glasshouse worried me a bit for being a bit unmemorable; it wasn't a sign of her eroding skill, it was more a concern i had that her path was aiming away from her greatest strengths. Everything from this has sounded amazing tho.

I love Glasshouse because I love simple domestic pleasures

I feel like there’s a real nostalgia for Devotion in this album?A lot of people have made that comment. I think this album is reminiscent of who I was as an artist when there were no external pressures. I did draw on the feel that we created when we worked on Devotion. It’s naivety. It’s not about overthinking or anything autobiographical—it’s about just wanting to dance. Are you mindful of the fatigue and pressures you will be subjected to with the release of this new album?I think I am in a much better place with everything now; it’s a real pleasure to be working again. I’m reminding myself of how it all should feel, and I’m aware that it can be taxing, but I’m focused on not saying yes to everything. There is a real beauty to saying no, and I’d forgotten that for a bit. I think the podcast is like a full-time job. I have a cookbook out next week that I made with my mother, which is completely bizarre. That comes out while I release an album that people will hear and want to have sex to. That’s just two different ends of a spectrum. That’s the constant balance, and, of course, my family! I have wonderful management and a great new label; it’s all just feeling good.

New song "Ooh La La" is fun but her vocals feel really anonymous on this track

I love this. Kind of reminded me of Tom Tom Club when it came on. It makes me sad she delayed the album by two weeks. I know it's only two weeks but time has stopped and I need this album like yesterday.

haven't listened to the new one yet but "Spotlight" is my favourite song of the year so far I think. utter perfection.

ok I've heard "Ooh La La" now - it's excellent and I immediately wanted a 10-minute disco edit of it.

Ooh la la is amazing

This record feels like it was made for choreographed group dances at the discotheque which is a bittersweet feeling during this time

Well, this album certainly delivers.
My favourite thing about it after one listen is how it ends with song that would fit on Minnie Riperton's Come To My Garden.

weird how "adore you" felt so monumental when it came out last year and yet amongst all this it feels slight and subtle. still such an incredible song!
also shout out to the title track
