yeah, i meant to nom that but i figured someone else would. def the ye album i have most personal attachment too, so i would've voted for it. went for college dropout instead.

flopsy bird (voodoo chili), Thursday, 10 October 2019 01:10 (six years ago)

Same.

Voted after much agonising

paolo, Thursday, 10 October 2019 08:26 (six years ago)

Quick question: Studio is on the album list as "Studio - West Coast / Yearbook 1 -- these are more or less the same album".

Do we need to past the whole thing for the vote to count or just up to the titles?

groovypanda, Thursday, 10 October 2019 10:25 (six years ago)

looool sorry about that

i'll scan the results for all iterations of the album

imago, Thursday, 10 October 2019 10:28 (six years ago)

nxd, Thursday, 10 October 2019 10:42 (six years ago)

Voted

Tracks were tough

groovypanda, Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:01 (six years ago)

i voted, unweighted though, it was time-consuming enough just to whittle down two lists to 50.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:06 (six years ago)

finishing up my albums list, extension for songs pls

american bradass (BradNelson), Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:19 (six years ago)

Will ballots with write in votes be rejected outright?

blows with the wind donors (crüt), Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:19 (six years ago)

forgot to nominate “sippin on some syrup”

blows with the wind donors (crüt), Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:20 (six years ago)

leaving this bookmarked so I send some form of ballot tomorrow

sleeve, Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:21 (six years ago)

ballots with write-ins not rejected iirc but the write-its can't place (again iirc, not that they're likely to anyway)

imago, Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:23 (six years ago)

👍🏻

blows with the wind donors (crüt), Thursday, 10 October 2019 14:33 (six years ago)

i am trying to employ a one-song-per-artist policy but let it be hereby noted that i am TORN between Piece Of Me and Get Naked, and this might come down to a coinflip

imago, Thursday, 10 October 2019 16:49 (six years ago)

these are both ashlee simpson songs?

flopsy bird (voodoo chili), Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:00 (six years ago)

get naked is obviously better, also I am voting for it so more chance of making it.

mfktz (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:01 (six years ago)

I'm playing Pieces of Me for imago now and he loves it.

tangenttangent, Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:07 (six years ago)

omar little, Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:10 (six years ago)

i said it was decent ffs xp

imago, Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:11 (six years ago)

current huge regret is that Boris - Farewell wasn't nominated, as I'm not such a fan of the rest of Pink but this is above and beyond. tt sharing my regret by the looks of it

imago, Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:44 (six years ago)

it's "piece of me"

"get naked (i got a plan)" is still the greatest song title of all time though

american bradass (BradNelson), Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:46 (six years ago)

I meant I was playing Ashlee Simpson - imago needs no convincing with Britney, thankfully. My favourite from Blackout is probably Heaven on Earth, but how do you even really choose.

Pink is proving much more accessible and wonderful than I thought Boris actually is

tangenttangent, Thursday, 10 October 2019 18:50 (six years ago)

voted!

kraudive, Thursday, 10 October 2019 19:50 (six years ago)

I wasn't around for the noms, so was sad but not surprised to see my track of the decade wasn't included: "The Greater Times"

kraudive, Thursday, 10 October 2019 19:55 (six years ago)

still torn on Oops! vs Piece Of Me vs Toxic

now let's play big lunch take little lunch (sic), Thursday, 10 October 2019 20:17 (six years ago)

Voted.

pomenitul, Thursday, 10 October 2019 20:47 (six years ago)

i went toxic just over piece of me but if i did it today i probably would've gone piece of me instead - i really tried to include both but without the 1 artist 1 song rule it was just impossible

Mordy, Thursday, 10 October 2019 21:33 (six years ago)

Had I known someone else would've voted for it, I would've nommed it. Instead, the only entrant from PINK is the track I always skip.

Anyway, rushed a ballot in!

HELLA FITZGERALD (Leee), Thursday, 10 October 2019 22:35 (six years ago)

Fuck me! I guess I'm gonna have to cram for this tomorrow night. I already kinda know what the top part of each ballot will look like, so I may not even end up using all 50 places on either one.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 11 October 2019 03:08 (six years ago)

got my albums ballot mostly done, and I'm half-way through organizing the tracks

Dan S, Friday, 11 October 2019 05:00 (six years ago)

Finally voted after agonizing for two weeks. I'm very excited to see the results, it seems there was at least twice as much music I wanted to vote for as ballot spots.

Frobisher, Friday, 11 October 2019 05:10 (six years ago)

Voted! Had to do unweighted for LPs as it was impossible to do otherwise.

"One track by each artist" principle was also not workable, Broadcast ended up with 2 or 3 (1 with The Focus Group)

Now to get on with the rest of my life.

mfktz (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Friday, 11 October 2019 10:46 (six years ago)

I couldn't have come up with a list of tracks even if I wanted to. There are limits.

pomenitul, Friday, 11 October 2019 10:56 (six years ago)

Can I, uh, resubmit my ballot? I made a catastrophic mistake, ranking-wise.

pomenitul, Friday, 11 October 2019 13:06 (six years ago)

tracks was easy enough but albums was impossible. had to set myself a one album per artist rule to get it down from 70ish to 50.

Hmmmmm (jamiesummerz), Friday, 11 October 2019 14:11 (six years ago)

Voted. Albums only, that was agony enough. Didn't get around to ranking them either, which is also extremely lame. Great poll imago!1! :)

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 11 October 2019 14:12 (six years ago)

When is the rollout likely to start - next week or the week after?

groovypanda, Friday, 11 October 2019 14:23 (six years ago)

I voted. Decided to just go with whatever I was into the most these days, made a top 15 or so and then just randomly took enough other tracks or albums from my initial whittling to fill the unranked part of my ballot. It's not exactly fair, but at least it's arbitrary.

silverfish, Friday, 11 October 2019 14:27 (six years ago)

It's still open, right? I can vote through midnight tonight?

kornrulez6969, Friday, 11 October 2019 14:31 (six years ago)

I kind of did what Silverfish did. I found myself throwing out several songs I'd previously rated highly. (BoC's Dawn Chorus is fine, but pretty repetitious and the voice samples completely ruin it for me.) I don't know why I used to consider this song a standout of that album, let alone the decade. One thing that made this poll so much fun is that this is probably my least favorite decade of music since the sixties, and it has caused me to take a closer listen to a lot stuff I missed.
