I don't mind that. They sound like Franz Ferdinand with fetal alcohol syndrome, but still better than the Strokes.

I can tell how much I would've loved that if it came out in 2004, but it's basically: What if Franz Ferdinand, Art Brut and Dogs Die in Hot Cars teamed up to make an album paying homage to the legacy of Los Campesinos?

Man, I was stuck in a dentist's waiting room this morning, and no joke, whatever playlist they had on seemed to be literally all of my least favorite songs from the past several years, from "Hey Soul Sister" to that Bruno Mars "Count On Me" song to the Fray to ... well, more Train. I heard that atrocious "Play That Song" and "Drops of Jupiter," too. A lot of Train. I almost had to leave.

My daughter went with a friend to see a band called ... Watersports? Waterparks? Waterpolo? Whatever it was, it sounded miserable.

ugh, never heard "Dance Monkey" until just now. It's bad, but the wiki entry starts with the makings of a good short story.

my niece (12) loves this song and she's right

It's one of these culture shock moments when you realise that something so weird can have such huge mass appeal... Her commitment to singing like a haunted Miss Piggy is commendable, but it also freaks me TF out.
