with regard to Tim's post a week or so ago re: Bawrut, I think he is someone worth talking about. Personally I think he's very skilled in production terms but I find his tracks annoying, mostly. Shooreee is the one that I like. For most of the others I've heard, one listen is enough. Some of them don't bear a full listen to the end of the track tho. I just get annoyed by them.

I can totally see/hear that others might find the aspects I find annoying to be interesting. Enjoy yourself!

I love that Beautiful Swimmers comp and I cannot recommend enough their recorded mix from Hot Mass (not to be confused with _jed's long-running excellent club night Hot Mess)

(I couldn't get into the Bawrut tracks either)

i like them. to my mind ultimately they're acid trax. with the kind of embarrassingly on the nose epicness that can imply.
