The one bottom right looks like Greek and appears to say
ΤΑ Μ... Λ... ΤΡΑΓ... (probably τραγούδια)
but that doesn't help a lot because that just means "the ... ... songs"

(have searched for e.g. τα μεγάλα λαϊκά τραγούδια, the great Laïko songs, but nothing similar came up)

makes sense cuz the one on top appears to be greece as well

andrew m., Monday, 17 June 2019 19:32 (six years ago)

Xpost Just realised the top one has a rough map of Greece on the sleeve, wonder if they’re all Greek.

Ah, one of the others in his discography looks like the blue one:
Ν. Καζαντζάκης* , Μουσική Μ. Χατζιδάκις* , Τραγούδι Γ. Ρωμανός* ‎– Καπετάν Μιχάλης

I got most of these, need help with a couple.

Left to right: Twilley Don't Mind, (the one to the left of that may be the same as the one on the far right, which it seems like I know?), below Twilley ???, Talking Heads More Songs, Roger Daltrey, Dictators' Bloodbrothers, don't know what's below that, Graham Parker's Parkerilla?, and that far right one that's bugging me.

Ah crap, why does the watermark show up?

Oh, the far right is David Johansen.

Okay, well, good enough I guess.

So, I was wondering about the black and white album rear cover that is propped up behind the DJ (it's a still from 'That Thing You Do' btw) it doesn't look like a 60s record, kinda looks like the back of a John Hiatt record from 1985 or something, any clues?

Maresn3st, Friday, 13 March 2020 20:32 (six years ago)

haha yeah that definitely does not look like an early 60s record!

Οὖτις, Friday, 13 March 2020 20:33 (six years ago)

Yeah, which is maybe why they turned it around, but considering the insane amount of period detail in the movie it's funny.

Maresn3st, Friday, 13 March 2020 20:34 (six years ago)

reminded me of Sting's Dream of the Blue Turtles but it isn't that

Dan Worsley, Friday, 24 April 2020 21:23 (six years ago)

The Association, s/t, 2nd row down, 2nd along. The Charlatans directly below it.

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Friday, 24 April 2020 21:30 (six years ago)

"Hums of the Lovin' Spoonful" propped up against the skirting board to Bruce's left.
Laura Nyro, "New York Tendaberry" immediately to Bruce's left.
Andromeda, s/t, that kind of white circular design on the floor at the front.

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Friday, 24 April 2020 21:37 (six years ago)

"Nashville Skyline" directly above Bruce's head.

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Friday, 24 April 2020 21:40 (six years ago)

the one to the right of his right foot is The Association's Goodbye Columbus

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Friday, 24 April 2020 21:46 (six years ago)

Nashville Skyline, doh how did I miss that?

Any idea what the one with the big moustachioed mouth is?

Dan Worsley, Friday, 24 April 2020 21:56 (six years ago)

The one at the edge of the photo beneath his foot is The Stooges debut.

Dan Worsley, Friday, 24 April 2020 22:07 (six years ago)

... a most unappealing cover!

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Saturday, 25 April 2020 00:07 (six years ago)

What was that phrase picture editors on the NME or Melody Maker used to put under pictures of unattractive bands? "Sorry girls, they're married!"

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Saturday, 25 April 2020 00:15 (six years ago)

Steve Miller Band, Your Saving Grace on the lower ledge, far right.

Merryweather - Word of Mouth, between Mother Earth and Steve Miller

I cheated and managed to google it based on a description, being sure I knew it but just couldn't think of the name. Turns out there was no "Oh Yeah" moment.
