Lonesome Tears and Sunday Sun are the SC songs I went for—LT has a grandeur that the rest of the album doesn’t have

I almost voted for this one too but yeah, would have been my inner teen speaking. I do like the closing drone though

The Flaming Lips cover of "The Golden Age" is really good too...makes it even more Harvest-y.

This probably holds up the best of any of the Sea Change songs for me tbh, to my ears its the best version of that kinda song on the album. It was a memorable moment in the couple shows that I saw on the Flaming Lips tour, he would start the show doing it solo acoustic and then on the second verse the band all came in at once and a scrim would suddenly lift up revealing them, it was a neat effect

I way prefer his live vocal take there to the snoozy one on the album (almost the whole album)

I don't get the sea change hate and references to teenage response like it carried no weight. It came out in my mid 30s when a close friend was going through a divorce and just tore us all to pieces. Golden Age is a stunning opener. Sounded amazing on tour tour too. Did it just get lumped in with morning phase or something in retrospect?

this is a great run for me. my #10 and by a distance highest MV track. it's so prog, I love it :D

N&G was my other MV vote obviously but this one clinches it for me

BrianB, I think thats true a bit. I think there was some disappointment when people realized "fun Beck" wasn't really coming back

Was listening to Milk & Honey in the car yesterday and thought it sounded like if the radio somehow got jammed between 3 stations at once, just total overload. Love it.

1996 (after live show) that was one of the greatest shows ever

I started to vote in this but didn’t have time. Dug through the catalog a bit for the first time I awhile and noticed how he went from a sometimes great lyricist to being a really subpar one right around SC.
