Are there any must buys in the Stroom catalogue? I've looked at their Bandcamp page but was unsure where to start.

The Ingus Bauskenieks album is very good.

You're welcome! I recommend following them on instagram as they're generally pretty on top of it and are descriptive about what they're showcasing/what's new.

i was uber happy the Frank Harris and Maria Marquez comp came out. I have been searching for more of their music since I fell in love with Canto Del Pilon when it was included on a Ralph Records comp in 1987. It only took 32 years!

TRjj Music Compilation "12 Dances" on STROOM is fucking brilliant and quite singular. I suppose kind of Pablo's Eye + Tirza without the vocals but weirder.

While we're talking about Stroom I'd like to say that their Kyoto/Zoe Sinatra split 12" is just about perfect and probably my single of the year so far, even if both of the tracks are from the 80s.

Their recent EP from Benjamin Lew is a bit special

Contains three tracks from Benjamin Lew and Steven Brown's excellent Douzième Journée: Le Verbe, La Parure, L'Amour, from 1982. A bit weird that Brown is not credited on this 12" release.
